The route, step by step
- Step-off at 2:00 PM: Charles Street at Centre Street, just south of the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon.
- South on Charles Street through Mount Vernon, past Hamilton, Franklin, Mulberry and Saratoga Streets.
- Downtown on Charles Street past Lexington and Fayette Streets, Charles Center at Baltimore Street, then Redwood and Lombard Streets.
- Left onto Pratt Street at the Inner Harbor.
- East on Pratt Street past Light, Calvert and South Streets, alongside Harborplace and the Inner Harbor.
- Finish at Market Place, near Power Plant Live! and Port Discovery, at about 5:00 PM.
The route is about 1.1 miles. The whole parade takes about three hours to pass any one spot, with breaks so cross traffic can get through. The Shamrock 5K runs about an hour before the Parade, so streets close well before step-off. Plan your visit for the full day’s schedule.
