The route
The Parade steps off from Charles and Centre Streets at the Washington Monument, proceeds south on Charles Street, and continues east on Pratt Street to Market Place. Open the interactive route map for parking, light rail and Metro stops, and places to eat along the way.
The Shamrock 5K Race runs along much of the parade route about an hour earlier, so streets close before the Parade begins. Learn about the 5K.
Road closures and parking
Baltimore City Department of Transportation posts the official street closures and parking restrictions a few days before the Parade. In 2026, closures along the route began at about 11:30 AM and Charm City Circulator routes changed from about 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The 2026 closed streets are shown on the route map.
