PARADE DAY TRAFFIC AND PARKING ALERT:
Expect
SUBSTANTIAL TRAFFIC CONGESTION
and
CONSIDERABLE DELAYS
between 12:00noon and 5:00pm
in downtown Baltimore
on Parade Day,
Sunday, March 11,
which will not abate until after the conclusion of the Parade.
Before you head downtown,
please check the City’s website, https://transportation.baltimorecity.gov/news/traffic-advisories,
for any Parade Day traffic advisories!
Please note that road closures and parking restrictions
will begin as early as 9:00am EDT on Parade Day.
The sooner you get downtown for the Parade,
the lesser your chances of being stuck in traffic.
Make a day of it by attending the Official Parade Day Mass
at 10:45 a.m. at the Basilica, and then proceeding to your viewing location.
Remember, too, that we will return to Daylight Savings Time
on Parade Day this year. Our friends should all
set their clocks ahead the night before,
or they might miss out on all the fun!
Since the Parade route is about 1.5 miles in length,
parking availability depends on the location
from which you plan to view the Parade.
Parade Day parking can be especially hard to find,
so we’ve partnered with @SpotHero
to allow visitors to find and reserve
guaranteed parking around the Parade route.
